Georgina Tsismalidou our VR Solo Castle artist opens her Solo Show today and the show runs until July 14th.

Georgina Tsismalidou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, and has a Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Psychology.

She has held the position of Executive Assistant of Youth Foundation for Writers Capital International Foundation, in the faculty of Arts.

Georgina has been awarded numerous awards, including the “Panorama International Arts Award 2022” for her painting “Enlightenment”, hosted in “Panorama International Arts Festival 2022” on the theme “War and Peace”.

She received an Honorary Distinction for her painting entitled "Triumph Thunderbird" in the "1st Panhellenic Artistic Competition" of Kefalos Publications (June 2022).

She has participated in a solo exhibition (8 paintings) at the Athens Art Festival 2022 (October 2022) and has held a solo show entitled "Cosmos Series" (16 paintings) at Myró Gallery in Thessaloniki (December 2022).

Georgina has participated in the following group exhibitions:

“Panorama International Arts Festival 2022” on the theme “War and Peace” in Athens, Greece with the painting “Enlightenment” (September 2022).

“Art on Loop” Digital Exhibition Show hosted by The Holy Art Gallery in Athens, Greece, and London with a collection of 5 paintings entitled “Quantum Visions” (April 2023).

International Group Exhibition of Visual Arts “Mit dem Blau des Himmels und des Meeres” (With the Blue of the Sky and the Sea) in Ybbs, Austria with a collection of 4 paintings (June 2023).

Her paintings currently decorate the covers of four Poetry Collections, one of which is international in seven languages.

"I am an artist working in a modern abstract style. I often use non-objective figures to tell my story. What drives me to create can be both mysterious and exciting. Creativity, for me, takes many forms: painting, poetry, music, and abstract shapes. I consider my paintings as visual poems, inspired by nature and my personal life experience. My work is not just a dialogue with myself, as I would like it to incorporate the experiences and personal stories of others. My art is my most honest response and most conscious effort."

July Call for Art!

Artists across all mediums have always been inspired by the vivid colors, textures, and emotions of summertime. This is the season of leisurely days, endless sunshine and warm nights, outdoor gatherings, travel, lush green nature, and of course a bounty of good food and drink.

Whether you find yourself reminiscing about your own cherished summer memories or discovering new perspectives this summer, our group show invites you to embrace the warmth, vibrancy, and creativity that define this sun-kissed season.

In our July group show we celebrate our unique interpretations of summer. Let us see what your summer looks and feels like. We welcome artworks from all mediums of visual art, except AI-created art, and video/film.

★ Digital entries must be received by June 27th, 2023 before 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time.

★ Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by June 30th.

★ The show will premiere on July 1st and end on July 31st.

AWARDS:

All Artists participating in the online group show will be featured on our Website and Virtual Gallery platform. All artists will be awarded an HMVC Gallery New York certificate of participation.

"Summer Feels" will also be featured on a jumbotron in New York City's famous Times Square later in June.

We are delighted to announce that we will be giving cash prizes to two talented artists!

Best of show winner: $150

Second place winner: $100

Third place winner: Online Solo Show

★ The winners of Best of Show and Second Place need to have a working PayPal account to receive their prize money. If the winner of the cash prize fails to provide HMVC Gallery New York with a working PayPal account, the winner will be forfeited and HMVC will be entitled to select another winner. The prize will be sent to the winner within 14 days of responding to HMVC.

★ The Third Place winner will have their own online Solo Show at HMVC Gallery New York and the show will run for a month. The Solo Show winner will also receive a HMVC Gallery New York solo certificate recognizing their achievement.

As our community grows, we have received multiple requests for Solo opportunities. You asked and we listened, so now HMVC Gallery New York is offering you the opportunity to have your own solo show on our ArtPlacer virtual platform for a month. Because the artists in our community are at various stages in their careers, we have created three different plans for you to choose from Plan Manor, Plan Palace, and Plan Castle.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in doing a Solo Show with us.
